A Storm Approaches...

Sakura walked softly among the Saki trees, gently caressing the low hanging branches, heavy with blossoms. She felt anxious. Deep within her, she felt the fast fluttering of her heart. She was lost in thought. She thought about all the exciting celebrations that would soon take place, the new guardians and their owners, and the intoxicating smells of special noms being baked. Her thoughts suddenly wandered to thoughts of her father. “How I wish he was here to see the Kingdom and what it’s become,” she softly whispered as tears welled up in her eyes.

She felt a tug, then another. She quickly brushed off her tears and looked down. Her guardian Luna, was gently pulling at the seams of her dress. She smiled softly and picked her up, gently nudging her face. “Oh, Aika, you always know how to make me smile when my heart is heavy.” She picked the bebe Luna high above her head and playfully bounced her up and down, much to the delight of the Luna. “You’re a bebe now, Aika, but soon I won’t be able to bounce you in the air! You’ll be bouncing me!” She said cheerfully.

That’s when she noticed it on the horizon. She blinked forcefully, thinking that perhaps her eyes were playing tricks on her. A dark, menacing cloud was quickly approaching. It spread and loomed like an ominous storm. Sakura held Aika close to her chest and in the stillness of the gardens, they could fill each others’ hearts beating rapidly. “This is not good Aika.” She said, with heavy foreboding. She quickly spread her wings and tightly embraced Aika, for she had to fly to Airlia and warn the Elders on the darkness that was quickly encroaching upon Kingdom Sky…



On a side note, The KS Team is looking for a couple of exceptional individuals to add to our Moderating Team. If you are hard working, honest, caring, professional, dedicated, respectful, at least 17 years of age, not currently working for other sites or forums, and can dedicate at least 20 hours a week, we'd love to hear from you!
